Question by John: What causes lower back pain in a 16 year old?
I have lower, and upper back pain.(lower is near the start of my butt, where those two little bones stick out abit, and the upper is just under my shoulder blades) They don't happen all the time, but they've been happening for awhile, and probably more often since last weekend(I did lift heavier stuff last weekend).. Is that the cause, or what? I'm 5'5, 115-118LBs, and I'm a male.

ReplyDeleteThere are 2 secrets in heavy lifting:
1) Keep your shoulders parallel with your hips.
2) Keep your back straight-don't use your back, use your legs or/and your arms to lift.
It could be your muscles just make sure it feels like muscle pain because it could be your kidneys they're right there too ya know. Hope everything turns out well. If its your muscles try to lighten the load u carry to school somehow. I know my back bothered me a lot at school when I carried a lot.
ReplyDeleteStrained back muscles are responsible for up to 75% of all back pain. The cause can be anything from lifting something heavy to bad posture or even an infection in certain cases. Last time I had lower back pain was because of a cyst.
